Make your own jewelry clasps, you can do it!
I really get bummed out when I see a nice piece of art jewelry … with a crappy clasp. Lobster clasps have their place, but buying a piece of jewelry where the clasp was carefully chosen or even handmade is like getting cake *and* ice cream.
I confess that I really dislike lobster clasps. They get caught in my hair and make me late for work because as you well know, they can be impossible to maneuver — whose idea was it to torture us with a sliding pin, a tiny hole and two hands behind your head? I will say the giant ones you see now are pretty easy to manage, but they don’t always look great.
